Team India’s centurion against Australia, Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the ongoing World Cup for three weeks due to a fractured thumb. Dhawan was struck by a vicious bouncer by Pat Cummins as he went on to score 117.
The left-handed batsman scored his third hundred in World Cup history, while it was also his sixth overall in ICC events. As per reports, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer are in contention to replace Dhawan.
