The much-awaited news related to the 15-member Indian squad for the World Cup 2019 is finally here. Virat Kohli will be India's seventh captain at the mega event, while Rohit Sharma will be his deputy.
Rishabh Pant and Ambati Rayudu have been omitted from the squad. The World Cup will commence from May 30, 2019. India will play their first fixture against South Africa on June 5 at South Hampton.
Earlier in the day, defending champions Australia announced their 15-member squad. The team comprises of Aaron Finch (c), Usman Khawaja, David Warner, Steve Smith, Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey (wk), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Jhye Richardson, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Jason Behrendorff, Nathan Lyon and Adam Zampa.

Other than these two, New Zealand is the only other team which has released the list of players who will be going to England. The runner-up team from the previous edition of the tournament will be led by Kane Williamson.
