India’s warm-up game against New Zealand at the Oval ended with the Kiwis winning the game by six wickets.
Winning the toss, Virat Kohliopted to bat first as New Zealand took complete advantage of the fresh wicket with plenty of swing and movement for the pacers. Trent Boult was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped four prized wickets in just six overs.
James Neesham picked three, while Colin de Grandhomme, Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson picked a wicket apiece. India was bundled out for 179 with Ravindra Jadeja being the top scorer with 54 runs.
The run chase was fairly comfortable for the Kiwis asKane Williamson’s knock of 67 along withRoss Taylor’s 71 helped the Black Caps to reach the target in just 37 overs. Indian bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jadeja got a wicket each.
The Men in Blue will face Bangladesh for their second warm-up game on May 28.
