Australia ended Day 3 on a high after achieving a lead of 175 runs in the ongoing Test match against India at Perth. The day started with Virat Kohli scoring his 25th Test century and taking India over the 200-run mark. Ajinkya Rahane could not do much damage and perished early. Rishabh Pant showed some resistance but Nathan Lyon proved to be good for him as he played a mistimed shot toward long-on.
Lyon took 5 wickets in the first innings. This was Lyon's 14th five-wicket haul in the longest format of the game. Aaron Finch and Marcus gave a good start to the Kangaroos but Finch had to walk off the field after sustaining a nasty blow from Shami.
At the end of Day 3, Aussies made 132 runs for the loss 4 wickets.
