In Match 76 of ongoing Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2018, Gujarat Fortune grants once again dominated in their home leg. After defeating U Mumba yesterday, Gujarat came on top of Haryana Steelers courtesy a convincing 40-31 scoreline at The Arena by Transstadia, Ahmedabad. By virtue of another victory, Gujarat has concluded their home fixtures in style.
Winning the toss, Haryana elected the court of their choice. Courtesy Mahendra Rajput and Sachin, Gujarat were off to a flier in quick time. The lead consolidated further for the hosts who were ruthless with their raid points and good in defense as well. At halftime, Gujarat was 21-15 ahead.
Anything was still possible in the second half as Gujarat's lead wasn't a staggering one. However, they didn't let off the momentum in the second half. They continued to lead and were placed comfortably at 29-19. Even though a late flourish was provided by Haryana's Monu Ghoyat, he lacked company from the other end. As a result, Haryana managed to narrow the gap by a minimal margin, Gujarat remained ahead.
From Gujarat's perspective, skipper Sachin's 10 raid points alongside Parvesh Bhainswal's 6 tackle points assisted in their side's win.
With 10 victories, from 14 encounters, Gujarat lead Zone A with 58 points. Bengaluru Bulls, on the other hand, sit at the first spot in Zone B (40 points).
